Lydia DiTirro, D.O. is a board certified psychiatrist who received her residency training in psychiatry at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. She entered the field fueled by her genuine interest in human well-being and how to alleviate human suffering through treatment of the problems of the mind and brain. Dr. DiTirro has worked in a number of clinical settings within psychiatry including inpatient, outpatient, forensic, rural and addiction since completing training. She aims to develop individualized treatment approaches with each patient. Dr. DiTirro specializes in insight-oriented psychotherapy for most ages as well as treatment through psychiatric medications for adults and adolescents. Some of the disorders she works with include depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, obsessive disorders as well as coping with life changes and events. In addition to her hospital and private practice work, she is currently studying at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute to become trained in the practice of psychoanalysis.
