Interested in the workings of the human mind, Mrs. Thomas allies herself with her patients so as to understand and resolve conscious and unconscious repetitive patterns which contribute to symptoms such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self destructive behaviors and relationship difficulties.
Mrs. Thomas has had many years experience working with acute, chronic and terminal physical illnesses. She has lead grief groups for family members of the terminally ill.
Mrs. Thomas is a graduate of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and the University Of Michigan School Of Social Work. She is past President of the Association for Psychoanalytic Thought; past President of the Candidates Association at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and a current board member of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Society. Mrs. Thomas teaches in the Fellowship Program, as well as in the ATTAP program at Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
